Candle Safety Advice

Burning Safely

Always use a heat resistant, level surface to burn your candles. Aim to keep them away from other flammable materials.

You can browse our range of candle coasters which are a perfect protective accompanyment.

Keep candles away from children and pets and please do not leave them unattended when lit.

Handling

A lit candle jar can be very hot. Never handle a candle when lit and always leave it to cool before moving.

If the wax is still molten, please do not move it as it means the candle is still hot but it also may spill and cause serious burns.

Lighting and Exstinguishing

The further your candle burns into the jar, the harder it'll become to light. We highly recommend a long barrelled lighter to light your candles to reduce your risk of burns.

A candle snuffer is the best solution to exstinguishing a candle safely.

When to replace

Getting to the end of your candle is always an exciting time, what scent will you try next?

We do however recommend that when the wax is 1cm from the bottom that you replace it, maybe with one of our refills!

Wax Melt Safety Advice

How to use safely

Only use an appropriate wax melt burner and please only use one melt at a time until the bowl is suitably filled. Overfilling a burner can cause it to overflow which may harm you or your surfaces.

Keep melts well out of the way of children. They can and do look enticing for a child to eat. Treat them like your dishwasher tablets and keep them locked away when not in use.

Cleaning

There will come a time when all the fragrance has been used from the wax. At this point you are best replacing the wax fill.

Wait until the burner and wax is completely cool and hard. Apply gentle pressue on one side of the fill until it just pops out.

Dont use a sharp or metla object to cleant he wax out as this may damage your burner.

Handling

Next touch the wax or burner when it is in use, they can beomc every hot over time. It is best to set it up in a safe and secure location before lighting so it can sit there for the period of usage.
